Comments: If anyone reads this who is considering STARTLOGIC, think again. When you Google StartLogic you get their listing and right below it on the front page is StartLogicsucks(you know the rest). I have been there for 4 yrs and with five sites we are moving on. I have finally had it with those idiots!

Comments: I was hosting my blog with Startlogic for almost two years. It kind of bugged me that they used such an old version of Wordpress, but the one-click install worked great. I had to tweak the code a few times to get things working with my favorite wordpress theme and a couple of popular plugins. One time my whole blog disappeared and they had to restore it from a backup. I lost two weeks of blog posts and it was a pain to re-upload all the images and posts. For the price they really aren`t that bad. But, now I am spoiled because I have switched to a new dedicated server.

Comments: StartLogic sold me 300GB of space and 3000GB of monthly transfer for 4 dollars per month. From the get-go they were unresponsive to my requests for information about how to get my site started. They never sent an activation e-mail or told me how to access my new site. I went almost a month sending them several e-mails and CS tickets. Finally I sent an e-mail asking them to cancel my account and refund my money immediately. A CS Rep called me and informed me that all along they just needed to speak with me in person :| I informed her I still wished to cancel my account and get a refund. She offered me an extra month of hosting to make up for the time that had been wasted. I agreed. Their service has really gone downhill in the 2 years from there. My site is often offline and several times my databases have been inaccessible, making my site useless. When I complained about the downtime I received a form message asking if I wanted them to reset my password! They must not have even read my ticket.

Comments: User agreement is over 100 pages long. I have continuing problems with connecting to e-mail, and fairly frequent problems with the web server being down. They promise live technical support 24/7, but what that means is that you wait on hold for 30 minutes or so, and a representative who has no technical knowledge takes down your phone number, gives you a ticket number, and they promise a callback within 4 hours. They do not call back. I`ll be looking for an alternative.

Comments: I`ve been with Startlogic about 18 months, and never had a problem until now. As they started migrating to their new platform, the wait time for tech support is 45 minutes at least, and that has been going on for months. They apologize and claim tehy are hiring more people, but still no improvement. In addition, I build my website using their web site builder, and just found out that it is not supported on the new platform so I am now expected to build a new site!!! And I found out when I tried to edit my site--it wouldn`t take the changes so I called in, sat for 45 minutes on hold, only to be told they no longer support the web builder they chose! I`m looking for a new hosting company because it is obvious they no longer care about customer satisfaction. Oh, and they also put new security measures in where one has to type in codes from the box every time one wants to log in. Not usually a problem, but light blue on light blue isn`t easy to read and they never mentioned that it was case sensitive. Not a huge issue, but indicative of their lack of concern for customers they already have. Wait time to reach sales is less then 5 minutes!!!

Comments: UGH - That`s all I have to say about the new and improved platform at Startlogic. I have five websites hosted with them and was pretty happy with them until the dreaded upgrade. Once that happened, all heck broke loose. I have message boards that are still down, slow sites and not one tech support person seems to know what they`re doing. They actually sent me an email in regards to a message board that went down and asked for the exact steps used to posting messages. ??? And forget about trying to get hold of support on the phone or internet. I spent 6 hours on hold today on both the phone and via their website and had to finally give up. Email support is the only thing that seems to work except your problems are ignored and they respond with cryptic emails... most likely outsourced to some small village somewhere. Luckily, I just got my emails reminding me that it`s time to renew my hosting plans on all my sites, so I`ll be looking for another host over the next few days. Those emails couldn`t have come at a better time.

Comments: Are you kidding - these guys are the WORST web hosting company EVER! First they re-directed all their websites they hosted to my one little website, and of course we were flooded with nasty e-mails and crazy people phoning accusing us of causing the problem. Now it gets worse, my website has been down for 3 days and after waiting an hour or more in some instances for technical support, they keep giving me the excuse that they are going through a TRANSITION. This is a BAD Company rather go with someone else, I am working on Transitioning my business website to another company.

Comments: StartLogic is currently my host. I am going to transfer from them. Worst host ever. Yesterday StartLogic initiated upgrades to their servers. Since then My site remains online and yet I can do nothing to change it. FTP changes don`t affect the site. I CALLED TECH SUPPORT AND HAVE BEEN ON HOLD FOR OVER AN HOUR. The sad thing is, some poor client is paying me to sit here right now. Bad choice of hosing on their part. StartLogic Worst host ever.

Comments: a year ago they were fast and a reliable hosting , then they forced all existing clients to go to a new platform last oct 07 suppose to benefit all with faster bells and whistles , thats where this provider screwed all old clients and poor new that got the 3.0 platform right off the bat , this poor souls will never know this was once a great hosting provider , because there web sites will be at a crawl , with SQL databases errors constantly . they dont have the skills or knowledge to fix there own problems they updated too . run as far as east is from the west from this hosting support is horrible , and dont get em mad they will hang up on you , try to leave they will continue to credit ya CC Im going to have to have my CC turned off to get free of this bunch all i can say is RUN FOREST RUNN

Comments: My sites on my Startlogic VPS were down for 3 days. They didnt answer trouble tickets or email. When I finally got someone on the phone (30 minutes+ wait time), each time they said they didnt know what was wrong or when I would be up again. After 3 days they said they had a hardware crash and lost my server. My VPS and the other VPS accounts on my server were gone. I have backups but I dont have my databases. Dont even think about this one unless you like losing everything.

Comments: the platform to upload is not straight forward. customer service is like running in circles. starlogic does not live up to its best web hosting spot. if you have or is using starlogic with no problems then you are lucky. when starlogic was converting to a new system, it took forever. they tell they are not going to extend my time due to starlogic`s fault. what a joke.

Comments: Steer very, very clear of these guys. In the nine months of service we had with them, they never properly our account, so calling in for support took an added 10 minutes to the already ridiculous 60 minute hold times just to identify myself. They over-sold our server and forced us to move our site to another at a cost of our own time and expense of reconfiguration of the new VPS. They then deleted our site because of the afore mentioned account setup issue, losing us 7 months of work. Then the server crashed a month later, and we lost everything again (only lost 2 weeks as we had a backup). When asked for a full refund for the year`s hosting fees, they only refunded from the point we had to switch servers. I don`t know how they stay in business. Please don`t give them any money to continue.
